David Evans (Archdeacon of St Asaph)
The Ven David Evans was Archdeacon of St Asaph from 1897 to 1910.
He was born in Llanrhystud and educated in Ystrad Meurig.〔“Who was Who” 1897-1990 London, A & C Black, 1991 ISBN 0-7136-3457-X〕 He was Rector of Bala then Rural Dean of Abergele,〔"The Clergy List, Clerical Guide and Ecclesiastical Directory" London, Hamilton & Co 1889〕 before his appointment as Archdeacon of St Asaph. He died in post on 1 March 1910; and his funeral was held three days later at St Asaph Cathedral.〔The Times, Saturday, Mar 05, 1910; pg. 13; Issue 39212; col B '' Deaths''〕
